about

The last time we were happy - was it nineteen eighty four? We all stayed home and watched the Olympics. Yeah I remember when I thought I could be there again, as if being there would have made any difference. Now I need something to occupy my time. But doing nothing sure suits me fine. It’s all gonna crack before too long. And when it all comes back, we’d better be gone. So I’ll just stay inside and live my life wrong. And everything looks fine, don’t turn the lights on. Not anything can distract me, it’s got to be something good. Maybe something that doesn’t require thinking. Cause if I think too much, I know it’s all gonna get back in touch. It’s 11 am and we’re already drinking. And everyone keeps telling me I’m gonna be fine. But when you think about it, sounds like another line. It’s all gonna crack before too long. And when it all comes back, we’d better be gone. So I’ll just stay inside and live my life wrong. And everything looks fine, don’t turn the lights on. If I stay far enough it won’t reach me.
